The Importance of Sex Education

First of all, sex is a natural process of development that exists in every human being, but many parents are less keen to talk about sex openly with their children. This is because for the elderly, the issue of sex is one thing that does not need to know the children. Actually, sex education is not meant to destroy the values of society or culture, but it serves to teach young people about sex education in a way that not only reflect the values of family and community, but also can improve the continuity of culture.

Although, the government has proposed to create a sex education subject in school has invited a variety of reactions from parents and the community. As a parents, it is important to understand the depth of sex education to their children to prevent their teens involved in sexual abuse in their lives. The aims of the government is to provide these subjects is to give exposure to students on matters related to sexuality and anatomy of the human body. This is to prevent social ills among teenagers, especially rape, for instance, adultery and thus can reduce the abandoned babies case that has spread to the major problems of the country.

Nowadays, we hear cases of abandoned babies every day. Therefore, as a society, we should have realized the importance of sex education, especially to teenagers. So that, through the education, youth can learn and get information and forming attitudes and confidence about sex, sexsual identity, relationships and intimacy can occur. Indirectly, the teenagers can afford to build self-esteem through information obtained from the sex education. Therefore, the youth as well able to distinguish between what is right with the things that bring the evil in their lives such as child removal case is more widespread.

Lately, the abandoned babies become worse because of young children are now exposed to a variety of information about sex and related teachings from sources such as friends, books, media, consisting of advertising, television, magazines and the Internet. These materials have not feared and accurate information so misinterpreted by teenagers. Therefore, sex education will help them to provide authentic and info to improve their misleading information.

One source of increasing problems of abandonment baby because adolescents are not exposed to sex education. This occurred as a result of parents who lack the education to understand the need to. For them, if these subjects are taught at the school, it will only encourage teenagers to have sex outside of marriage. This situation causes many girls involved in the problem of abandoned babies for pregnant before marriage. Therefore, the importance of sex education serves as the public to be understood and known by all teenagers. Most teenagers today are not aware of the impact of free sex which they do without thinking about the potential impact of problems.

Sex education also can help to reduce risky behavior among teenagers. This is because young people are exposed to information about sex who are not using condoms can prevent pregnancy as causes of unwanted pregnancy. Furthermore, based on information obtained from sex education, teens can avoid their self being drawn into the problem of sex with their partners. Indirectly, they are able to think positive that sex is only possible after the marriage is valid. Therefore, the problem of abandoned babies can be reduced when the awareness of the importance of care issue that has been born with perfect.

  3. Thanks to the opinion given Fadilah. Actually, it's true about sex education serves as one measure to reduce the problem of abandoned babies in the Malaysia, but also well able to solve the problem of rape often occurs late this.

To Khuzaifah, actually there is still welcomed the proposal given by the Ministry of Education to make sex education as one of the subjects in school. This is because, if sex education is taught by the best-trained instructors, course input or information related to this matter can be understood by young people, especially teenagers. Indirectly, the issue of rape, free sex and should be constrained by problems penbuangan baby will not happen again. For information Khuzaifah, actually sex education is to teach students not only related to sex, but also the instructors will discuss the consequences that may be encountered as a result of free sex is done, and also how women can get pregnant. Therefore, based on information obtained through this study, young people would be able to choose between the good and the bad.

  4. Hi Aisah and Khuzaifah, I want share the opinion about this statement. In some countries, the involvement of young people themselves in developing and providing sex education has increased as a means of ensuring the relevance and accessibility of provision. Consultation with young people at the point when programmes are designed, helps ensure that they are relevant and the involvement of young people in delivering programmes may reinforce messages as they model attitudes and behaviour to their peers.

In school the interaction between the teacher and young people takes a different form and is often provided in organised blocks of lessons. It is not as well suited to advising the individual as it is to providing information from an impartial point of view. The most effective sex education acknowledges the different contributions each setting can make. School programmes which involve parents, notifying them what is being taught and when, can support the initiation of dialogue at home. Parents and schools both need to engage with young people about the messages that they get from the media, and give them opportunities for discussion.

At home, young people can easily have one-to-one discussions with parents or carers which focus on specific issues, questions or concerns. They can have a dialogue about their attitudes and views. Sex education at home also tends to take place over a long time, and involve lots of short interactions between parents and children. There may be times when young people seem reluctant to talk, but it is important not to interpret any diffidence as meaning that there is nothing left to talk about. As young people get older advantage can be taken of opportunities provided by things seen on television for example, as an opportunity to initiate conversation. It is also important not to defer dealing with a question or issue for too long as it can suggest that you are unwilling to talk about it. There is evidence that positive parent-child communication about sexual matters can lead to greater condom use among young men and a lower rate of teenage conception among young women.

Thanks for the view that given. Thus, the importance of sex education is taught in schools at primary and secondary schools as well. There may be some parents who are so open to discuss topics related to this sex. But no doubt there are parents who are uncomfortable or embarrassed to discuss the matter to the children. Hence, the importance of education is to expose them to knowledge related matter of sex education.

    To Khuzaifah
Because most of the measures taken by the current government is one step short of numbers often vary, resulting in sex education is very important. This is because education is one of the long-term measures to create youth, especially students who will lead the country someday. Hence, the importance of information obtained through sex education so that they have self-esteem and the ability to prevent from getting free sex, do crimes like rape and adultery. This also can curb social problems among young masarakat today. Through education is also, adolescents will not apply any pornographic video, which was witnessed by a friend of women or their partners before the marriage is valid because they has been exposed to the knowledges about the disadvantages of random sex. Therefore, based on this education, women can also learn how to protect themselves from becoming victims of rape and was not affected by the influence of a man for sex.

  8. To khuzaifah and Aisah

It is difficult to identify women who are at greatest risk for discarding their infants. Our understanding of these mothers, their motivations, and their circumstances is extremely limited, making intervention a challenge. At present, public education about resources available to pregnant women and alternatives to discarding an infant remains the primary method for addressing this issue. In view of the lack of information, efforts to collect data about the circumstances and characteristics of parents who discard their infants, and tracking the experiences of discarded infants and those dropped off in safe havens are critical to addressing this problem.
